Postdoc Enrichment Program (PEP): Postdoctoral researchers have historically lacked a structured community and have fewer resources to support their training. PEP aims to support and enrich our postdocs in several ways, including:
- Postdoc professional development events. Workshops to date include early career postdoc fellowships, interfacing with ABC Resources (pre-award) and demystifying K awards, and the Biotech Symposiums (in collaboration with the Outreach Comittee).
- The Annual Postdoc Research Symposium. This symposium showcases and celebrates our postdocs’ research while enhancing departmental interactions, formal collaborations, and community building.
- Resources for mixers and other community building events.
- We are in the process of implementing a postdoc peer-mentoring system to connect new trainees with more senior postdocs.
