Our Department continues to navigate the ever-changing landscape of the Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, we recognize that several recent national and international incidents including social injustices, climate change, war, and other events have deeply impacted our community. Such circumstances have revealed deficiencies in the Department’s ability to be responsive to events that impact mental health and highlighted the generational differences in how such events are perceived, internalized, and acted upon. Although such challenges are not unique to our Department, we seek to strengthen our capacity to support our trainees in a way that allows them to thrive despite external challenges. Community members seeking mental health services can find University resources below.
