Graduate Student Sexual Harassment Prevention Training

Event Date:

Fri, October 18, 2019

SLU Orin Smith Auditorium

During 2018, the PSHD team[1] worked with student, faculty, and administrative stakeholders to develop an innovative, research-driven sexual harassment prevention training for UW ASEs. This interactive, in-person training builds on extensive research to provide students with skills in bystander intervention, sexual harassment prevention, and more, and is tailored to the needs and interests of each department’s ASEs.

This training is now being offered to our department. The United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 4121 contract negotiated funding for all first year academic student employees to attend the PSHD training, but will also allow other interested academic student employees to participate. Time attending the trainings will be included in the required 220 hour workload for salaried ASEs and hourly ASEs will be paid at their hourly ASE rate (one time only).

You are also welcome to reach out directly to the PSHD team at or visit the website for more information.
